This is now being found to be true in the world of the Internet, as well. Scientists are finding that there are numerous "hubs" of sites on the internet which in turn point to other sites. This means that every site can be directed to any other site by no more than six "connections," or six intermediate sites. This theory appears to be universal. Brain specialists are finding this theory applies to brain cells and their connectivity, and now medical researchers are discovering the same thing with the organs, cells, and biological processes in our bodies. What this simply means and confirms is, no part of the human body is isolated from any other part else. With all of these experiments and confirmations leading to inescapable conclusions that no one, and indeed nothing, in the universe is an island, it is imperative that we, as humans, respect our bodies and treat them carefully. All treatments, whether dental or medical, should be considered as to their effects on the rest of the body.
